Our client was looking to transform the existing bungalow tract home built after World War II into a modern contemporary home with an addition. After speaking with couple architects that only focused on the design, the client commissioned OroHaus Design for the project. OroHaus Design was able to provide the design for the new contemporary home, perform all the structural engineering and design, hire the all the required sub-consultants to execute the project (Surveyor, Title 24 Energy Consultant, Geotechnical Engineer), personally deliver the project plans to the City of Bellflower on behalf of the clients, and make all the required corrections and submittals to get approval for permits and construction on the addition started.
The existing home was transformed from a 811 SF with one car garage into a new 1,675 SF home with a new 500 SF two car garage. The new 864 sf addition had vaulted cathedral ceilings and was built to add a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, closet) and new laundry room. The existing homes two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living area were completely remodeled.
